Manchester Youth Hack #4, 8th – 9th April

We had fun again at our latest youth hack at Autotrader, where eight teams of 13 to 18 year old coders tackled challenges set by Hackernest, Telcom and Hive / Hack 100.

Outstanding hacks included Team Rainbow Trello’s Google Glasses-style headset to help people with dementia recognise faces. It consisted of a bike helmet, meccano, a Raspberry Pi and facial recognition software – and really impressed the pro developers judging. The team was made up of Alex, Ben, Max and Owen, from Manchester and Tameside Colleges:
